Café Carlyle Season

The Café Carlyle has announced an updated line-up for its 2011 Winter/
Spring season.

Newly added engagements include 2010 Tony Award-winner Douglas Hodge
(March 15- 26); internationally renowned opera baritone Nathan Gunn,
with musical director Julie Gunn (March 29-April 16); Marin Mazzie &
Jason Danieley (May 10-21); Bettye LaVette (May 24- June 3); and Tony
Award-winner Lea Salonga, with musical director Larry Yurman (June
7-25).

As previously reported, Judy Collins will perform February 15 - March
12, while Kenny White will offer late shows on Saturdays during her
run. The winter line-up will also include Woody Allen & The Eddy Davis
New Orleans Jazz Band, who continue to perform on Monday evenings
through June 7.

Cafe Carlyle to Welcome Lea Salonga, Douglas Hodge, Marin Mazzie and
Jason Danieley

Additional performers have been announced for the Café Carlyle's 2011
winter/spring season.

Following singer-songwriter Judy Collins, who opens a month-long
engagement Feb. 15, will be 2010 Tony Award winner Douglas Hodge. The
actor, who was honored for his performance in the Tony-winning revival
of La Cage aux Folles, will make his Café Carlyle debut in a two-week
engagement March 15-26.

Baritone Nathan Gunn will play a three-week engagement March 29-April
16. His musical director is Julie Gunn.

Broadway couple Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley, most recently seen on
Broadway in the Pulitzer Prize-winning Next to Normal, will offer a
romantic evening of music May 10- 21.

American soul singer-songwriter Bettye LaVette will make a rare New
York club appearance in a two-week engagement May 24- June 3, and the
season will conclude with Tony winner Lea Salonga, who will offer a
three-week engagement June 7- 25.

Woody Allen & The Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz Band will continue to
appear on Monday evenings through June 7.

Tony Award winners Lea Salonga and Douglas Hodge and Broadway couple
Marin Mazzie & Jason Danieley are the latest stars to book appearances
at Café Carlyle, the popular nightclub in the Carlyle Hotel on Madison
Avenue in New York.

Hodge, who departed his Tony-winning starring role in La Cage aux
Folles on February 13, will have a two-week cabaret engagement, March
15-26, with Sonny Paladino as musical director. Mazzie & Danieley,
most recently the stars of Next to Normal on Broadway, will offer
what’s being billed as “a romantic evening of music” for a three-week
run, May 10-21. Salonga, an international star and Tony winner for
Miss Saigon, is also set to appear for three weeks, June 7-25, with
Larry Yurman as musical director.

On Monday nights through June 7, director/musician Woody Allen will be
in residence at Café Carlyle with the Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz
Band.
